Recently, Canadian plus-size retailer Penningtons invaded Toronto’s Union Station. Plus-size model Tess Holliday and nine curvy women marched in their jeans and bras in the name of body diversity and size acceptance. Powerful. Beautiful. Inspiring.
The event was in support of their #iwontcompromise campaign that launched early last year. The movement was created to celebrate women, encouraging them to love their bodies and fight against the many stigmas that berate plus-size women. It urges women to wear what they want, do what they want and be who they are without compromise. Penningtons has won several awards for various components of the #iwontcompromise campaign over the past year (included are a few links to commercials that ran in 2016).
